How to Make Your Home More Secure

4. Make sure your home looks lived in. Signs of habitation can put off potential burglars. This is important to remember if you are heading out of town. Even for just a few days or so, this is the perfect opportunity for thieves to strike. As such, you can take a few steps to make your home look lived in. These are as follows: Set up timers on your lighting, both indoor and outdoor. Do this for the same time they would usually come on and people will think that you must still be in the house, and avoid you. Don’t let the mail or other posts like papers pile up on the doorstep, arrange to have a neighbour collect it for you. If the forecast is snow, it could be a good idea to get your drive shovelled so it looks like you are home. 

5.
